A study was performed on women's purses which found one in four purses (tested at a local mall) showed the presence of E Coli. The Health Report also showed where women place their purses: public rest-rooms (on the floor beside the toilet), kitchen counters , kitchen tables, on tables & chairs in restaurants, et cetera. Match the purse to the winter coat
Black wool coats: All colors - everything matches. Patent leather is particularly sharp. This is one is Burberry's with its telltale plaid. Nice little touch. A little British!
Mandatory in Northeastern urban areas is the puffy down coat. See this one from North Face? Pair it with an oversized or utilitarian bag. Don't do a Coach-style with a bunch of buckles.
Camel coats are code for class. Perfect palette for showing off an exceptional handbag. Best styles for this number or any like it are purses of deep browns or autumnal tones. White is forbidden.
Shearling: Look at Hobo or a slouchy bag. Nothing too fancy as it would take away from the stand alone wildness of these coats and you don't want to look like a rodeo clown. Or a really rich boho gal drinking a huge coffee.

- It has a more modern look, but it is still a fanny pack to me. I grew up in DC, & we could always tell a tourist by the fanny pack. NO Thank you!
